​Born in Paris, Jean-Baptiste Saudray started studying piano at age 5 at the Schola Cantorum and got several awards very young.

A few years later, following Laurent Petitgirard’s advice, he attends Serge Petitgirard’s class. Meanwhile he also attends Narcis Bonnet’s harmony class at Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.

There, he sits numerous competitive exams and graduates with a teacher’s degree.

From the beginning Jean-Baptiste is enticed to composition and he starts writing at an early age. He is 17 years old when he releases his first record, associated with Marc Miller, “producer”.

From then on, he entirely dedicates himself to creation and production. Recording sessions follow one another and several records releases settle him in the business.

During his collaboration with Joachim Garraud, he works for international artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Geri Halliwel, the Gipsy Kings, Ray Charles, Alabina, Eternal… He also designs radio jingles and products TV soundtracks and sound illustrations.

Passionate about film scoring and sound design, he also has collaborated with  Xavier Jamaux on several Chinese full legnth feature productions .

He additionaly wrote a wide variety of instrumentals for on line music libraries and for documentaries such as “ Echappées Belles” broadcasted on  channels France 5 and “ Rendez Vous en terre inconnue” – France  2.

In 2012 based on an idea and book « The Braille Legacy »  by the playright and producer Sebastien Lancrenon

Jean-Baptiste undertook the task of  transforming the novel into a musical  that portrays  of  the life of Louis Braille .

The show was created and produced in London in 2017 which ran for several months in the Charing Cross Théatre.

A French version with a symphonic orchestra  is currently being developed to play in Paris .

Alongside his work in composing Jean Baptiste has produced , arranged and mixed for a wide variety of artists with diverse backgrounds.
